Hi! I have another recommendation for a book about peace. A few years ago, my son was terrified of thunderstorms, so I created a story to help him overcome his fear.

"Storm Trucks" is a beautifully illustrated picture book about Axel, a little boy who loves the rumble of trucks but feels scared by the loud BOOM of thunderstorms. With the help of his imagination, Axel sees trucks in the sky, working through the storm, and finds the courage to face his fear.

This story is about friendship, feelings, and facing fears. It's for kids who love trucks and puppies. Join Axel and his puppy on a brave adventure that shows how imagination and kindness can beat even the scariest storms.

While looking for chicken/rooster books for the new Just discovered the book "The Chickens Build a Wall" by Jean-Francois Dumont. Though it was published in 2011 in France, it is so perfect for this week!

In reply to RD. The interest level varies - try Karen Katz's book for the youngest kids and the biographies for the older kids. The others fall somewhere in the middle.

I see these are all picture books, but what do you think is the interest level on these? Are any of them more geared to the very young or to the older children?

Thank you so much for this collection of peace tales. I am a teacher, a parent and a grandparent and am obsessed with thematic sets of books around different topics. What a great way to start off the New Year!
